Rooting for Blame

3 poems

“Rooting”

Sometimes I must
Forget myself
Dispense with that
I latch onto holding me back
To allow some freedom
Of growth
New roots to take
Buried in fertile soil
Building upon what is me

“Ugly Stone”

A sculpture does not appear
From the stone
Left unstruck by the chisel
No, it remains ugly
Hiding away possibilities
Of the true beauty within

“Blame”

It is as though
The universe is against
Everything I try

At least it is
What I tell myself
Like it will help

When really it is I
Who sabotages me
And blames God for the trouble

One response to “Rooting for Blame”

  1. The Rooting is like our human incarnation… We separated from Source to be here..forgetting our origin..to experience something different..and in that process, we grow..😅
