It is tempting to give up
On dreams and possibility
To give in to failure
As it stands there
A life of little resistance
Offered for the simple compliance
To let go of drive and ambition
Like it will make you happy
But it is the truest form of failure
To listen to the offer
And take it in hand
Rather than standing up and trying
Refusing to simply vanish
