a poem
Let the boredom come
Allow it to seep in
Absorb my being into it
Sitting in the moment calm
Unknowing of time or motive
To simply be within
My mind to face itself
What it is so desperately hiding
My own shortcomings
Things I wish not to be
Done without thought
Reactions of a restless brain
Can I calm it in this second
Not reaching for tools of distraction
Can I hold a moment
To make it last a lifetime
