a poem
Stupidity holds its place
My mind its breeding ground
I cannot help but let it
An old friend it has become
The kind who enters freely
Greeting your mother
Before finding you
No invitation ever needed
The say “hello” almost foolishly
As they feel a part of you
A sibling who lives there
Growing older as you stay in touch
Maybe follow jobs or school
Always over each others’ places
Into elderly decay it continues
Stupidity is like that for me
Wanting sometimes to shun it
To run away and make new friends
Intelligence seems cool, popular
Too cool for me though
Besides, stupidity makes me laugh
We can live our lives together
As it was meant to be
