a poem
I want to write again
To feel ink bleed from my fingertips
Pushing words into existence
Breathing in creation letter by letter
Oh the feeling to connect
Embed myself into paper
As I command the universe
I want to write again
Excite electrons as pixels merge
Driving my anger into keys
Lighting the screen with ideas new
Basking in the danger of thought
Readying myself for death
Preparing to dare to live
I want to write again
Bring meaning and purpose
Alight desire within my soul
Seeking out magic and wonder
As I build existence from letters
Creation from words and sentences
Stories and thoughts colliding
I want to write again
Become the writer I am to be
Breaking life from this prison
Turning it into the dream I have
With paper and pen and thought
Imagining worlds never believed
To become something beyond me
