“Drought’s End”
Droplets fall in uncountable numbers
Quenching thirst of dry ground
It feels too long since last they fell
As they lull me towards a trance
Of watching the water pool and puddle
While leaves and grass flicker
The rain took too long to get here
Maybe it can stay a bit longer this time
“Driftwood”
A single teardrop into the water
Waves caress the surface dawn
Each flow silence away
Each a story to tell to the shore
But forgotten they are
As ripples smooth to the water
No longer carried forth in wonder
A shadow of once was no more
“Flood Waters”
Let reality be a flood.
I shall then run from water.
Until my feet, trapped in mud,
I then shall fall asunder.
