Call Out

a poem

It can be tiresome
So why do I bother
Listening to others’ egos
Displaying their needs
Pushing upon me
Waiting for me
Will I validate them
Or should I ignore
Their neediness
Demanding I bend
Where I’d rather fight
Exposing their lies
Insecurities and facades
But what I’ve learned
People don’t like
Being called out on their bullshit
