a poem
How much is enough
Material desires
Things and objects only
Given weight they cannot hold
Coveting them as if the need
Cannot I fill it with them?
Another tick in the account
More trinkets to hoard
Consuming all I can
Never finding happiness
Like I do around you
And those I hold fast to
Meaning within life
Priceless and cheap
Since one cannot buy such things
Told then to discard instead
Why would I care to choose
Is it better to have you
Or a fancy house
Wealth in the world or spirit
Oh I cannot think of which
Other than to ignore what
Brings only momentary fun
Where you bring lifelong meaning
