As promised, on Monday, February 26th, I released my (nearly novelette length) short story Into Fire’s Den, a fantasy story with dragons. Here’s the official description:
Dragons are mankind’s fiercest adversaries, so much so that man does not venture beyond the borders of their realms lest they meet death. But the kingdom desires the magic of the dragon egg to save a dying member of the royal family. To save her own life, Dephtselia must now risk it for the slim hope that she might find one.
I wrote this story a few years ago, revising it recently to fix a few minor details. At one time I wanted to build it into a large epic, but decided I am going to let it stand as a single short story. Maybe someday I’ll build out the world more as I enjoyed writing it.
It is available only in ebook formats for $3.00 at places like Amazon, Kobo, Smashwords, iBooks, and more.
Now, unfortunately Barnes & Noble was delayed significantly, as was this post… and the page… and the links. All was completely my fault. I traveled for work forgetting to bring the drive with the files to finish the uploads. Then, upon my return, I threw my back out and am only now getting back up to full working order. It’s given me quite a number of lessons for next time.
Anyway, pick yourself up a copy. Tell others who might like it.
