What is it we seek?
Do we truly know?
As we falter on step upon step
Seeing only what happened
Before we focus on what’s forward
Are we simply meant not
To know what it is we need?
Replacing it only with desire
Unknowing what to look for
Doomed forever to seek
What we can never know
