One to Another

a poem

War
Blood bath
Killing life
Over our greed
Power and profit
Staining our hands with blood
Hatred blackening our eyes
Against those we call different
For it’s their fault our lives are less well
If only we could see the puppeteers
Can we ignore the lies they tell us
To see that we are more alike
Only sold to feed power
Things we don’t need or want
If we could break free
Use our lives to
Search for hope
And find
Peace
