I didn’t know about this quote until today. Even thousands of years ago people knew that a person who was not engaged in learning — who didn’t want to learn, would likely not. It’s not unlike the adage, “you can lead a horse to water…”
Yet, we suffer through 13+ years of the education system, most of it gone. Even I only have a brief spattering of memories of what I learned, of course from those subjects I found interesting or exciting, such as my 4th grade teacher with history.
But we love to learn. So what is wrong with how we’re doing it?
