Claim – a poem

“Claim”
a poem by Jeremy C Kester

We speak words without meaning
Hiding our thoughts in fog
Where those who we talk know not
What we intend and wish
All so we can pretend
Words fail to hold onto definition
With detail blurred
Yet we speak them and claim otherwise
