“At the Stars”

We look up at stars
Hoping to find our dreams
Nestled in the laps of gods
Ready to grace us with them
To bestow on us our wishes
But gods do not care for dreams
If we refuse their chase
Sitting idle awaiting a handout
Instead of pushing through
All the obstacles in our way
If anything we should pray
Is to have the strength to overcome
