Fakery – a poem

“Fakery”
a poem by Jeremy C Kester

Can we slip into our dreams
and forget about the cares
of chasing the imagined reality
others forge in digital brushes

Can we chase better dreams
instead of bowing to greed
or the envy others place upon us
through lies and fake beliefs

Real life could be a better painting
if one only grasps those brushes
accepting that what is to be
trusting in what the universe shows
