Last Minute

There wasn’t much time left.  Her mind was racing with the things that she needed to make sure she had done.  He would certainly be back at any moment.  If she failed to finish now, there would never be another moment.  It had come too far at this point.  A text suddenly rang on her phone and she knew it was time.  He was home.  Quickly, she tidied up and switched the light off.  A turn of the latch came about and she smiled as everyone readied to leap up for his surprise.
